Mizen Peninsula, West Cork, Ireland
Travel
Closest airport is Cork Airport. For those not travelling from the UK you may have to fly into Dublin if there is no direct flight to Cork.
The Mizen Peninsula & Crookhaven is a 1.5/2hr drive from Cork airport and a 4hr drive from Dublin airport.
We strongly recommend renting a car due to the remote location.
Deciding where to stay
We strongly recommend staying in either Ballydehob, Schull or Goleen village. As the road which these all stand on will be the only route serviced by shuttles. There is only one taxi driver in the area, we are looking into sourcing more but please do your best to stay on this route as much as possible please.
Ballydehob is a 35min drive from Crookhaven.
Schull is a 25min drive from Crookhaven.
Goleen is a 10min drive from Crookhaven.
Due to logistics. We recommend enjoying Friday night in the village that you are staying in.
Drink driving regulations are very strict in Ireland so please also bare this in mind for your travel plans.

Shuttles
Saturday
There will be shuttle buses from Ballydehob, Schull and Goleen to take you to the church service in Crookhaven on Saturday and to take you home at regular intervals on Saturday night. There should also be some taxis available.

What to do Friday night
Due to logistics. We recommend enjoying Friday night in the village that you are staying in.
Please see the Pubs & Food page for our recommendations.
